Often different challenges can arise within our lives where the Lord wants to show us new ways to navigate the situations. Sometimes we can have challenges with our loved ones in how we communicate with them in certain situations. Sometimes there can be different emotions that arise within us in times of challenging discussions. <\/span><\/p>\n

While I was walking to the store, all of a sudden I heard the Lord say learn to bless people in the Spirit especially when it feels like the enemy is attacking you through them. Straight away I thought about the area of antisemitism in the world, how there are many attacking God\u2019s people but the Lord has blessed them. And then I thought about the passage in Luke 6:27-28<\/b>: \u201dBut to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.<\/i> <\/i>28<\/i> <\/i>Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.<\/i>\u201d (NLT)<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n

I started to think about the importance of learning to bless people in the Spirit. It is one thing to say I bless them and then you continue to struggle with challenging thoughts to them and the situation. But it is another aspect to bless them by the Spirit and rise up from the situation. I believe the Lord wants to show each one of us what this actually means! What does it mean to bless people especially if they are throwing accusations at us? I believe there is a strength in the Spirit to choose to bless someone regardless of the situation. I believe so much more happens in the Spirit that blesses us and the others when we choose to bless them and not come under the heaviness. <\/span><\/p>\n

We know that \u201dWe are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.\u201d<\/i> (Eph 6:12<\/b>, NLT). When we bless people we rise above the enemy\u2019s attack and we rise above the scheme\u2019s of the enemy. The enemy does not know what to do with blessing just like how the peace of God crushes satan under our feet (Romans 16:20<\/b>). There is a blessing in blessing. There is more the Lord wants to show us in what it means to bless people, bless the leaders of our cities and in our nations and what it means to bless people who curse us.<\/p>\n

Lord, we thank you that you have called us to bless others and that Lord even those who curse and accuse us. Lord, you knew what it was to bless others who condemned you and even those who crucified you, for you said \u201cLord, forgive them, they do not know what they do\u201d. Lord, you have called us to forgive others as you have forgiven us. Thank you Lord we can release forgiveness to others. Help us Lord to learn what it means to bless others and what it means to rise above the situations at hand where the enemy is trying to attack us through people. Thank you that we can give these people to you and bless them. Lord protect our hearts and lead us by your peace, in Jesus name, Amen!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
