New Hope Missions

New Hope Mission Church Hämeenlinna (NHMC) operates in two core areas, as a local church and as a mission church.

NHMC implements mission vision

• Sending individual missionaries and/or teams to missions around the world
• Supporting missionary work around the world.

NHMC’s mission work is separate from local church work and is called New Hope Missions (NHM). The NHMC Board of Directors are responsible for the overall missionary work, with Pastor Leena Käppi as the head of the missionary area and Pastor Wille Nummikoski as the deputy head.

The Baltic

Behind the Baltic mission is a vision of a powerful revival coming across the Gulf of Finland to Estonia and through Estonia to the whole Baltic region:

I was standing high above the Baltic Sea, around Kuresaari, looking down on Estonia. I saw the Gulf of Finland and all the Baltic countries. The surrounding darkness was similar to that seen in satellite images at night, showing Europe with its points of light. Estonia stood out clearly from the dark surroundings with its boundaries. There was no darkness over Estonia.

As I watched the vision, I spoke aloud in Estonian Hebrews 12:25-29:

See that you don’t forsake him either, He who speaks! For if those who rejected the earthly speaker have not been saved, how much less shall we be saved if we turn away from Him who is from heaven, whose voice at the first shook the earth, but who has now promised and said: “Once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens!” But “once more” shows that what is shaken must be changed, for He was created that what cannot be shaken may stand. Therefore, having obtained a kingdom that will not be shaken, let us be thankful, and so let us serve God with fearfulness and reverence according to his mind. For our God is a destructive fire!

To the north, the vision was limited to the southern coast of Finland, where flames and waves of fire could be seen. Suddenly, huge bright waves set off and swept across the Gulf of Finland to Estonia like a tsunami. Huge foam-headed waves of glory, like ocean waves, swept over Estonia again and again. Estonia was filled with immense brightness, as if the whole country had been bathed in full sunlight in the middle of the night. The waves rolled over the land, again and again… The waves were like gold and the foam heads like glory.

As the glory of these waves swept over the land of Estonia, golden pillars rose up all over the land. Golden chains appeared between the pillars. All the pillars were then joined together. Suddenly, those pillars and their chains turned into a large fish net, which was immediately filled with fish of all sizes and shapes. The net was full of fish. At the same time a huge hand came out of the sky, grabbed the net and pulled the full net and fish away.

At the same time, huge waves of glory came to life, as it were, and they continued to surge into Latvia and Lithuania and onwards, opening up like a highway or runway. However, the brightness did not leave Estonia, even though the waves kept moving forward, but Estonia remained invaded by the brightness.
